Making a CD is a big investment for the giging band. A good CD can get you jobs and CD sales can make gigs more profitable. The idea of the Recording Package is to spell out exactly what it will cost to make 200 CDs, and exactly what you will get in terms of service and product. The package assumes you have your music together. The package includes:

Two recording sessions totaling eight hours. I don't think most people do well trying to record for eight hours straight. If you know your material you can get most of a CD tracked in 4 hours and still have a second session to polish up the rough edges. After the tracking sessions I will mix and edit your tracks to stereo. I am allowing 8 hours of post production time. Once the stereo mixes are ready we will schedule two hours to review the tracks with the band and make any adustments necessary. Once we agree on a final mix I will forward a master to the duplicating service. You will be responsible for providing art work and text for your CD on templates provided by the duplicating service and paying for any licensing and roylaties fees for using copyrighted materials. The internet has made applications and licnesing payment easy, but don't forget to consider the cost as you plan your CD. You will recieve 200 CDs in a jewel case, with a two panel insert.  The jewel cases will have a black tray and a full color tray card (seen from the back of CD case).  The front of the two panel insert (seen through the CD case) will be full color, and the inside panel will be grey scale.  Each CD will be shrink wrapped. Allow up to two weeks for replication.  The CDs will be made locally by a firm I trust to do great work. Package cost is $999.00 (Indiana Sales Tax included) and works out to be at least a $165.40 savings. Your break even point is to sell 100 CDs at $10 (80 at $12.50) or land a couple of good jobs.  The intanglible benefits are the satisfaction of sharing your music with other people, and the joy of making a CD.
