Sweet Owen Sound Recording Studio - About me

My name is Tom Yeiser. To start the new century right I devoted two years to research, design and build a recording studio. The studio has enabled me to focus everything I love about music, creativity, recording, audio equipment acoustics and musical skills into one entity. This is a great place to record, especially acoustic music. My years of experience with music, sound, and recording are ready to help you sound your best. My musical background includes:

In High School I was in the concert/marching band, orchestra, choir, stage band, pep band, theater pit band, studied music theory and worked on a live FM  radio station.  New Albany High School had a great music staff and lots of activity.  I studied organ with Miss Ruth Ewing, the best of many good music teachers, played bass in rock 'n roll bands, trumpet in community orchestras, built a harpsichord, sang in the church choir, played weddings and had a church organist position during my senior year.   My friends had cars, I had a four track tape deck. In college I studied organ at Indiana University School of Music, discovered old timey fiddle, served as a church organist and choir director, worked at the Steiner Organ factory, and took several acoustics classes, which I still like to talk about.   I developed some skill finger picking guitar, played electric bass in several Metro University Summer Theater productions in Louisville KY. In 1980 I received a 'Bachelor of Science In Music' degree from Indiana University School of Music, moved to New Orleans,  played bass and keyboards in cover bands, became interested in music applications for computer.  During the 1990s I focused on acoustic music, played old timey fiddle for dances in twelve or thirteen states, mixed live sound for acoustic music, and worked eight years as a main frame programmer/analyst.  I bought a craftsman style home built in 1929, and a 5'10" Knabe built in 1927.  I still have the Knabe.
